This dynamic training is designed for educators and school leaders who want to enhance their public speaking and presentation skills. Participants will learn how to structure impactful speeches, use body language effectively, and communicate with confidence and authenticity. The course also addresses stage fright, voice projection, and audience engagement, providing practical tools to speak with clarity and influence, whether in the classroom, at assemblies, or in leadership settings.

Training Overview

This training focuses on building the practical communication confidence educators need to speak with clarity, professionalism, and presence in everyday school situations. Participants will explore how to deliver messages effectively, connect with diverse audiences, and present ideas in a way that is engaging, purposeful, and easy to understand.

Emphasis is placed on developing a strong professional presence, managing pressure when speaking in front of groups, and communicating messages that inspire trust and cooperation. The training creates a supportive, hands-on learning environment where participants practice, receive feedback, and leave with immediately applicable tools to enhance their communication in educational settings.

Methodology and Assessment

The course follows an interactive, participant-centred methodology including workshops, group discussions, roleplay, presentation practice, video feedback, reflection activities, and continuous formative feedback.

Training Materials and Resources

PowerPoint (PPT) presentations, public speaking and communication resources, educational websites and professional development materials, interactive reflection tools and worksheets, instructional video clips, guided presentation exercises, printed workbooks, case scenario scripts, and visual aids for speech structure and audience engagement.

Intercultural Learning Dimension

Participants from different countries share communication experiences, explore cultural differences in communication styles and presentation approaches, and develop inclusive strategies for communicating effectively with diverse audiences.

Sustainability and Transfer of Learning

Participants are encouraged to apply public speaking strategies in their schools, share presentation techniques with colleagues, practise communication skills regularly, and develop personal action plans to sustain confidence and professional communication growth.

Certification

Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Day 1 – Introduction to Public Speaking and Building Confidence

  • Welcome and course introduction

  • Ice-breaker and participant introductions

  • Understanding the importance of effective communication in education

  • Identifying common fears and challenges in public speaking

  • Building confidence and overcoming stage fright

  • Introduction to the foundations of effective public speaking

Day 2 – Structuring Effective Presentations

  • Planning and organising presentations

  • Creating clear and engaging messages

  • Using storytelling techniques in presentations

  • Structuring introductions, main points, and conclusions

  • Using visual aids effectively

Day 3 – Voice, Body Language and Delivery Skills

  • Developing strong voice projection and tone

  • Using body language and facial expressions effectively

  • Managing pace, pauses, and emphasis

  • Practising confident delivery techniques

  • Delivering short presentations with feedback

Day 4 – Audience Engagement and Handling Questions

  • Understanding audience needs and expectations

  • Adapting communication to different audiences

  • Engaging and maintaining audience attention

  • Handling questions and feedback confidently

  • Managing challenging situations during presentations

Day 5 – Practice, Feedback and Personal Development

  • Delivering a structured presentation
